COVID - 19 Prevention Plan

Here at Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo we have established an action plan based on the Royal Decree 21/2020, dated 9th June, published by the Ministry of Health (Spanish Government) and the Royal Decree 17/2020, dated 19th June and Order dated 14th July 2020 in which public preventive measures are adopted in the autonomous community of Andalucía with the collaboration of ICTE (Instituto de Calidad Turística Española) which translates to Spanish Institute of Tourism Quality.

In order to make these measures effective we have created a new position at the hotel: the CHO (Chief Health Officer). This person will be responsible for the development, implementation and supervision of such measures.

This prevention plan as well as all risk assessments and procedures have been developed by professionals at Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo under the supervision of our CHO (Superior degree in Laboratory´s Clinical Diagnosis and Superior degree in Human Diet and Nutrition), with the collaboration of external consultancy.

In compliance with current regulations, guests cannot enter any of our facilities should they experience any COVID-19 related symptoms or have been in direct contact with someone infected with COVID-19 during the last 14 days prior to the arrival to the hotel.

New Chief Health Officer

Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo creates the position of CHO (Chief Health Officer), responsible for the development, implementation and supervision of strict measures in order to prevent the COVID-19 contagion.

Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo has created specific procedures in order to prevent the COVID-19 contagion.

Team Training

Consistent training and development for our teams in order to guarantee the highest knowledge of all procedures.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All our teams are equipped with personal protective equipment.

Uniform Laundering

Our teams´ uniforms are cleaned daily at the hotel, avoiding exposure when traveling to and from the hotel. This way we can minimise the risk of transporting COVID-19.

Protective Screens

Installation of Protective Screens at reception and buffet breakfast in order to minimise risks.

Cleaning at common areas

Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo has implemented new cleaning and disinfection procedures for all common areas. Frequency and control of these has also been improved.

Guest Room Disinfection

Disinfection is made with products with UNE-EN 14476 certification. After a guest room has been disinfected, this will remain sealed until the arrival of the new guest.

On-Demand Room Cleaning

Guests will be able to decide whether or not they want their room to be cleaned. Cleaning services, as per legal requirement, will always be made in the absence of guests.

Laundry Procedures

Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo has stablished new protocols when it comes to our internal laundry system. Laundry will always be made at above 60º C and linen will be collected individually, both during the stay and at check-out, avoiding any possible cross contamination.

Disposal of Decorative Elements and Paperware

At Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo we have disposed of all decorative elements as well as paperware in order to minimise the contact with most surfaces and comply with our new cleaning and disinfection protocols.

Reduced Capacity

As per the actual law, Hotel Apartamentos Bajondillo has implemented reduced capacity at our Food & Beverage outlets, common areas and swimming pool. Appropriate signage is in place throughout.


Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been installed in all common areas.

Assisted-Served Breakfast Buffet

We have adapted our buffet in order to maximise our guests´ safety: Individualised cutlery, protections screens, new cleaning and disinfection protocols for tables and chairs. without jeopardising the variety and quality of our products.


We have reopened La Brasería Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Swimming Pool

As per the actual law, there will be reduced capacity in its interior. Outside the swimming pool, the 1.5m safety distance will have to be maintained in between guests that are not part of the same family unit.


Our pool team will disinfect all sunbeds at the end of each day, as well as the foam mattresses, in order to offer the best sanitary conditions for its use the following day.


There is a new signage in place to inform about the new capacities as well as the mandatory safety distance of 1.5m in between guests that are not part of the same family unit.

Maintenance Services

Our Maintenance team will attend all incidents in the absence of our guests. They will always be equipped with PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
